contrary to many streetwear brands, the vision for vowels was to build a community that didn’t rely on the optics of any single person to keep the purpose afloat. using themes of research and access within our physical & digital spaces, participation and immersion drove convers(at)ion.
by collaborating with some of our nearest and dearest, and finding points of distinction along the way, vowels became part research-library, part kinkos, part retail store, part tea house, all purposefully designed to get lost in for hours.
the vowels shop is located at 76 bowery, just north of canal street.
